I’m thinking of getting the DIY watch club bronze diver. Anyone have any experience with these products? I see it as the next step from collecting to tinkering and doing light upkeep with my other watches. Please share. I feel like it’s gonna be relatively cost affective compared to getting all the tools separately. Cheers fam.

I have been very tempted to go this route once or twice & eventually I probably will.
A couple months ago someone posted about their experience. Let me see if I can find it.

I built 2 DIY WC watches. Mostly for the experience. After you build a couple you will have a good idea of what watch building/modding is all about, and the tools you will actually need. The tools they provide are adequate. In addition to the simple tools they provide my suggestion is to get these additional items -
Bright lighting, and I mean really bright
Work mat and ergonomic work area. Try to get your work mat up high so you aren't hunched over.
High quality hands free magnifier (I use this OptiVisor https://a.co/d/7pbLHtU , along with this attachment https://a.co/d/bWQtqs1 ). Being able to see the second hand clearly is essential.
Watch cushion (for the money this one is excellent https://www.ebay.com/itm/144586196216 ). Not essential but it will make you feel more professional.
The first build is nerve racking, the next much less so. I just purchased parts on eBay for 2 builds of my own design, along with better tools.
Good Luck

Thanks for all the links! I explored them all! I just bought the bronze and deep blue diver, looks just like the Tudor Bucherer but smaller (which is a plus!). Hopefully I won’t screw it up too badly. But then again, who cares! It’s my first!

Did you build it? If so how did it go? I'm really tempted too 😁

I did! It was easier than I thought it would be. It only took about 1-1:30 to assemble and the instructions were very good. It was 20% off too!
Nice job 👏
