Seiko presage Laurel

I had one piece reserved. Yesterday they gave me a call that it came. I knew that it was a 37.5mm which is a child's toy for my wrist but I still hoped that maybe somehow it would look ok. Sadly with heavy heart I had to tell them they should inform other buyers who requested it because it just looked so stupid on my hand. I don't understand Seiko sometimes why not a 40mm it's a good middle ground, why 37.5mm out of all, I hoped the cuff band would make it slightly larger but no it's also slim. Very disappointed, looked better in the photos

Well that’s disappointing.

Its a vintage reissue, it was obviously going to be small. 40mm would have been just big for a vintage reissue especially without lugs.

Atleast, its good they didn't make it in the original 34mm case size from 1913.

I understand, but it's only for people with small wrists or females. A 40mm would look smaller/ok on my wrist. I often find watches that I love but then when I find out they are below 40mm it's just useless, because it's too small :(.

Well, not "obviously". There are vintage reissues that add size to a watch. I think of the Tudor Heritage Ranger, for example, that came out in 2014 at a very healthy and happy 41mm, which was a whole lot bigger than the dainty late 1960s Tudor that it was riffing on. Great for my wrist - I bought one!
