Now that Lent is over, I can buy watches again. Well I did buy a couple during Lent but I had Now or never situations. "Hail Mary......" I had to get those. Especially this one made by our very own @Mr.Santana . It's a great watch. It looks great. It wears great! I love it!
These two came in today. The Zippo chronograph and the Technomarine Sea Manta automatic. These will be added to my personal collection.
I had never seen a #Zippo watch before. This one was very clean and looks new. I bought it used of course. It looks practically like my Seiko Chronograph. I know that Zippo makes a quality lighter so I figured it would be a quality watch. I wasn't disappointed. I personally think that the bracelet is better quality than Seiko. I don't know who made it but they did a decent job.
The next one is this awesome Technomarine Sea Manta automatic. I'm in instant love with it.
A while back I sold my #rolexsubmariner and have been having seller's remorse. I had a $12,360 profit margin so it had to go. I miss it badly though. It was a very comfy wearing and beautiful to look at piece of art. I have been on a constant lookout for its replacement. I think I have found it. This thing looks almost like it and wears practically like it. Yes I know this has a silicone strap and the Sub a bracelet. I was thinking about getting a silicone strap for the sub. I took the bracelet off and tried a strap out. This feels just like it.
If you come acrossed one you have to try it out. I like the Technomarine brand before Invicta bought them. When Invicta bought them I feel like they cheapened up the watch. They even put Technomarine down the side of the case. That's how you can tell the difference. The pre #invicta ones are better.
It has a display caseback showing off the 21 jewels #miyota movement. It has been keeping perfect time since getting it this afternoon. The hacking movement helps when trying to be exact.
There you have it, my two brand spankin used pieces that are instantly going to the private collection. Cheap or expensive, if you like how it looks wear it. That's what I do.
I have been collecting watches for a while now. I have so many watches that I wear a different one every day. Cheap to expensive, if I like how it looks I wear it.
Good pick up! That Zippo watch is surprisingly good looking. But the Sea Manta will never replace that remorse feeling to replace the Subby - Unfortunately to be brutally honest. As much as I enjoy the Loreo homage sub which is the best mirror image of my Rolex Submariner 5 digit. It's just not the same when I wear the OG. Didn't know #zippo made watches. Very cool. Too bad about selling the Sub but I understand.

I first got the Steeldive version and it was so close that it was scary. My buddy wanted it so I sold it to him. I know that the Sea Manta won't replace it but that feeling you get wearing the Sub, it has it. That perfect snug to the wrist, solid feeling. Then the dial looks like that Seiko monster thing. It's a watch of its own.
Zippo should stay outta watches 😁
