I am super happy with my Hamilton chronograph which I’ve had several years. However it does have emotional issues. It wanted to be a diver’s watch when it grew up, but it’s a chronograph.
I can tell what this watch wanted to be by it’s outward appearance. It’s from the mid nineties so water resistance wasn’t marked as today. It is juts rated as ‘water resistant’. But it also had very good lum and a screw down case back.
OK, maybe you’re not convinced. Look at the bezel markers. Have you seen a chronograph with those markings? That is a diving timing bezel.
Still not convinced? Explain the diver extension on the clasp genius. That the bracelet and clasp that it came with. What chronograph has a diver extension?
Anyway, this valjoux 7750 based chronograph is great. It is 38mm and 45mm lug to lug and <14mm thick. It runs and wears great! But if you find and acquire one, be prepared to support it emotionally. 🤣😍

Great looking Hamilton!
Why can't a chronograph with a screw down crown and pushers, water resistance 200+ meters and an elapsed time bezel be a dive watch? How does being a chronograph preclude it form being a dive watch?
I have seen those Hamilton chronographs and like the “vintage” look (big chronograph fam!). Your comment about the good lum makes me want to fine one….nice watch
