What is the quality of Islander (Long Island Watch)?

Considering an Islander on sale for $249. What is the typical quality of the watch and bracelet from this brand? Do you think I can get 10 years out of it?

Marc, the owner, is good people.

Personality aside, most definitely get 10yrs. They use robust and affordable movements from Seiko and Citizen, and have an array of styles/colors to choose from.

And the owner's service is top notch.

Marc originally designed these with the intent of upping the watches by Seiko. For example, an SKX, but with aligned indices, hacking and winding, sapphire crystal, etc. So they are built at least to that level.

I’m Biased, I owned 5 #islander watches (gave one of a good buddy of mine), and have purchased other watches from him.

Keep in mind they you get what you pay for, but compared to similarly priced Seikos or many micros, you get excellent value and construction. Like on the cheapest watches, the clasp will be basic due to cost, but you will still get solid links and sapphire crystal.

These are my 2 favorites (not the cheapest) from Marc:

Good luck!

Solid value for money hands down. They also run coupons. 5% off at the minimum.
