What Which Side of Metal Bracelet do you Remove Odd Numbered Link?

I have read so many conflicting posts on this topic so I thought I would ask this knowledgeable (and obsessive) group.  I have a brand new Omega Seamaster 300M and need to remove a total of 3 links.  There was a total of 6 full lengths on each side and I naturally have removed 1 from each side.  My question is which side (12 or 6 o'clock) should the 3rd link be taken from?

Above is a picture of the watch with a link removed from each side. The "so called" half links are not really half links so it looks like removing both of them will not be the fix.  Any advice on this perplexing topic would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

I am not positive I have a right answer for you, but I know one thing to possibly consider is how loosely the watch will be on your wrist and the impact of which side the link comes from in terms of balance. I recall this was something Jenni Elle on YT had spoke about on a previous episode - which I imagine its a bigger impact to those with slimmer wrists who have to remove many more links.

Look forward to hearing what others have to say on this subject! Good luck!

The thing to take into consideration, I think, is whether or not your watch tends to ride “in” or “out” on your wrist. My watches always seem to gravitate toward the outside of my wrist, so when I have to remove an uneven amount of links, I try to keep that in mind. And hey, if all else fails, the old trial-and-error method has (mostly) served humankind reasonably well up to now.

Remove from the 12o’clock position. 1. Thats the side your dive extension is on. 2. It will line up the opposite links better. 3. You I’ll be able to remove the half links over time if needed.

I think the rule of thumb is if you have to take out an odd link, it's better to take it from the 6 o'clock side because the inside of your wrist tends to be thinner than the outside.

I always take the odd link out on the 6 o'clock side, since that side of my wrist is thinner than the 12 o'clock side, so I prefer to pull the clasp in that direction, to keep it centered on the underside of my wrist.

I expect each person is different, but I'd recommend starting with removing the extra link on the 6 o'clock side, if you are unsure.
