Watch storage ideas

Crunchers unite!!

Why are multiple watch storage boxes either awful and cheap or the cost of my Sub? Is there any middle of the road solutions someone has up there sleeve? Artisan, mass produced or uniquely designed from the sum of other parts.

This shouldn’t be this hard….

Case Club pelican case out of California.

Or

As a Texan myself, Condition 1, and cut your own foam. (Next case I get going to go this route, maybe even see if case clubs watch foam fits 😂 , time is money too, and less time on hobbies = more time with family)🤌🏻🤘🏻🤙🏻

Wolf. Expensive but no where near the price of a sub. I have the wolf x analog shift box and love it.

@SRBINC I will send you a PM.

The Rothwell boxes (available from Amazon) seem to represent a good alternative. Very reasonably priced, well made, lots of room between watches.

I had previously used Wolf Windsor boxes, but switched to Rothwell based on the fact that they are quite similar (in both appearance & quality), but significantly better priced.

Rothwell, look for deals on Wolf, particularly on Gilt (I’m a big fan of their Analog:Shift colab), get a custom one from Objectttt on Etsy, or the tool box on Worn and Wound. If you really want to step up, Bosphorus Leather has a sale going on. I may coupon to save even more.

Another Rothwell fan here. I have 2 of their boxes and they have both been great.

My “solution” is a 6 drawer “Tower of Time”. Originally intended as a lingerie chest, it works great for watches as the drawers are a perfect size. I found it at a contemporary furniture store in their clearance section for a good price. In the drawers I have a variety of storage solutions. About half come from “The Container Store” (for those on the US) while the others are watch boxes picked up over the years at end of season sales when you can buy all the stuff that didn’t sell at Christmas at a greatly reduced price. And I’m always on the look out for a deal on watch boxes. Never have enough.

Long and short is that I have ready access to the majority of wearable watches in my collect. Dead quartz watches are not readily wearable. I’d be happy to share pictures of my storage solution I f anyone is interested.

Storage solution #2

The two above are from The Container Store, though I think they dropped the one immediately above.

Paper work - Receipts, manuals, printed instructions, etc.

This is ready to be transfered out of the ToT to make room for more watches. 😉

So that's my solution to storage. No intention to "flex" just show how I store.

Overflow, and there is some, is either in the closet, upper drawer of my clothes chest or in the safe. 😀
