Help me choose my first vostok amphibia

I've been planning on getting a vostok dive watch for a while now and got caught up with loads of designs related to em. Generally I have a very small wrist (15cm) and love funky shiny dials. Any recommendations are more than appreciated :)

Can't go wrong with the classic "Scuba Dude"! Personally I'd go for something in the classic "420" case, which is 38mm and fits my skinny wrist just fine! 😎

I've been look at 120512B,120849 &120813, though I will check out the 420 line up. Though are the dials shiny/sun burst or are they more printed?

Here's my Amphibia 170548-02 in two different looks by adding the alternate bezel - it totally changes the watch.

Also own a Scuba Dude. Love the teal green version. Small wrist and it fits perfectly. I couldn't resize the bracelet and had to take it to a jeweler. They also had a lot of trouble but eventually got it. The pins were difficult.

Looks clean on you my friend, though I'm not a fan of the design much. I don't know how to describe it or what its actually called , but it I call it the pancake/egg design. Where the watch feels more flat with a movement and bezel rising from within like an egg yolk ish. If there is a correct way to describe the design that you know of do please enlighten me :)

follow up question are separate bezels available for purchase for different amphibia models or do they come with in the box?

Yeah, this one is not for everyone. It is called a 'Sandwich' dial, and this particular piece pays a bit of homage to some of the pieces from Panerai, garnering the moniker Pamfibia. The top layer of the dial has cutouts for all the indicies, and this over the top of a layer of lume.

I have a 420059 scuba dude and I concur with the comments above, the 420 case wears like a dream in small wrists. The watch hovers a bit over the wrist if worn on a double pass NATO, but you’ll be fine. I have no experience with the bracelets as I ordered it directly on a NATO, but I’ve always heard/read that they are rubbish.

This is my only Vostok and while I really sought this exact piece, the seller had the alternate bezel included with the purchase, making it an even more compelling find.

I would expect that there are many different bezels on offer though I have not personally searched for any since mine has two already. Good luck with your pursuit!

My main problem currently is that I love the 120813 dial, though it is only available in 41mm and not 39mm. I do own wider watch at 43mm & LL of 49mm which barely fits me as the lugs are curved. Though I would've loved to have the same white clean dial on a smaller size

There are several online retailers where you can get different bezels. I replaced the bezel on the standard 420059 scuba with a teal one from AM Watches. I think most people replace the bracelet but I've kept it as I don't usually wear anything blingy, so this is the random shiny thing!

The orange Neptune 960895 is nice and bright. It's more expensive but the bracelet is more substantial and it generally feels like a better watch. (Lume shot below)

That’s beautiful. Can I purchase one like that straight up or is that a mod you put together yourself? Love the simplicity and bold dial.

The seller had that alternate bezel included so I think you might be able to find one similar. I swap straps and bezel on a whim, depending on how I want it to look at that particular time.

To me this the classiest and most versatile as @RFIMike illustrated. But don't listen to me I'm biased 😬

Either way you won't go wrong

Same to yours. I splurged when things were cheap directly from German retailer.

I absloutely adore the dial, though the case design is not my favourite if I'm being honest. I do respect your choices and I think it'll look goregous on your hand my friend. :)

·

The good thing about Vostok you will find a case that will suit your style for sure. Good luck hunting my friend 🤞

·

Looks amazing on your wrist my guy. I had actually considered the same watch though with the lighter coloured dial. The 6 hour marker is making me really hesitant to pull the trigger.

Do you have a pic of the eatch on your wrist?
