NorCal Episode 4: Wine, Watches & Music MeetUp
Good Morning/ Afternoon / Evening All!
Round 4 of the NorCal WatchCrunch meet up is set!! Thank you Tom and Oliver for your input as organizing these events is a team effort.
Let’s try something different and new! We will be meeting at Retzlaff Vineyards for some Wine, Watches & Music!! I’ve personally been to this vineyard many times and it’s always a blast. They have live music , a food vendor and obviously wine! It’s set up as a picnic where we will have table(s) reservation.
It is highly important to hit RSVP for this event so I can collect the $5 table reservation per person! There will be a bottle minimum depending on how large our group gets.

Hey Rome! Just got back from beautiful Colombia on Wednesday and saw your guys’ awesome meetup a week ago - man, I missed out!! Topper put up that food spread???! Dang haha … will try to make next meet but might be in DC around that time frame. Will circle back … thx, man, for coordinating - you are the Red Leader of the SF/Bay Area watch misfits 😂🫶👏❤️

So much fun today! ❤ A big thanks to @Rome1234 for his awesome organization skills (great venue!) and to @SpecKTator, @blackbookalpha, @brighthouse, @TomatoBass, @Framper_22, friends and significant others who attended. Holy shit, there were some fine, fine, fine watches there. That picnic table will never be as valuable again! 😍

Thank you to @OmegaMan75 for offering a ride to the event and for taking me back home. Timing was impeccable since I also completed servicing his 1970 Bulova Sea King. When I gather all my notes I'll do a proper WatchCrunch post.

Great to see @SpecKTator show up, the fresh haircut made me do a double-take since I haven't see you in a while. Refreshing to always see your Nodus, Monta, Dan Henry and Hamilton on the table.
@Framper_22 showed off a great vintage collection. Lots of 50s-60s watches with great Polerouter-type cases. Thanks to our lug conversation, I learned from him that there's a difference between Lyre and Bombé/Bombay-type lugs. I've seen one too many eBay entries advertising the wrong type on a Polerouter or a vintage 50s chrono.

@brighthouse Thank you for catching up and telling me about your journey. I forgot to mention if your Timex is still keeping good time. Also, thanks for trusting your recently-acquired vintage Glashütte in my hands. Once I free up my queue I'll do some proper work on it.
