NATO straps…

Are the devils work. Look how a nicely proportioned watch is just made bulky and let’s be honest… made to look totally crap!

Can’t even put my sleeve over it 😂

Am I wrong?

They're not for the feint of heart for sure. Make a statement. Embrace your inner badass 😂

Thats a beauty of a watch, by the way!! What reference is it?

Is that the SPB333?

I am waiting for one to pop up at the right price before adding one to my collection. And I actually like the look of that NATO 🤫

Yep, spb333. I got a stupidly good deal on this but they are on sale in multiple outlets in the U.K. right now FYI.

This nato it comes with looks nice colour wise. Is beautifully soft. Just looks like a pig when on.

In my opinion of course! 😂

Got a grey tropical rubber turning up tomorrow… will be excellent 👌

·

I love the look of a NATO but I do make most of mine a single pass.

·

People really don't like acknowledging that large watches are large. Anyway, have you tried the underslung method, which is all I can do anymore?

That'll be a great combo!! You could probably get away with white too, or even blue to pickup the seconds hand. So many combos with a white dial...

Yeah I very nearly bought blue

This is a 41mm with a sub 47mm lug to lug.

I’ve not, I’ll Google it now. Ta.

I have seen one for £600 so almost half price, so I think I'll pick one up on pay day.

Use the "under-tuck" technique (looks like you have a video for it in comments). Then you'll only have one layer of strap under the caseback and won't have that excess sticking out of the side of your wrist. I'd never wear a NATO any other way. A buddy of mine (former Marine) put me onto this method & told me this is actually the "correct" way to wear a NATO.

·

Just cut the excess from the end of the strap you don't need 👍

Just cut round a coin with a sharp knife to get the shape then use a lighter to seal the cut ends.

  1. Your NATO looks ultra thick, much above the 1.3 or even 1.6mm that are generally sold.

  2. For sure it does not work with your watch. My watch is not floating that much over the wrist, and it does not make such big gaps on every side.

So you should not make a generality from your case.

I have several Chevron straps from crown and buckle. Single pass & adjustable length. I really prefer them to NATOs.

I just received a strap from them. Excellent quality and color.

Too long unfortunately.

Did you adjust the length?

Did you adjust the length?

Not yet. I think I will wear it like that, and if it really gets too annoying I will shorten it.

Do you have the "Chevron"? If so, you can adjust the length by moving the buckle

Ho no, I don’t. I have a standard buckle:

I was not aware of this chevron system, very interesting.

I am going to check that, thanks.
