Watch shopping experience at Ishida, Shinjuku Japan

Hi WatchCrunch community!

I recently made a trip down to Ishida, an amazing store in Shinjuku that sells all sorts of watch brands. They can also purchase straps and accessories for you like a boutique can for certain pieces.

I actually went down there to order a leather strap w/deployant buckle for my 39mm Longines Spirit Zulutime.

The staff was very kind and patient with my broken Japanese/English.

The selection they have is amazing and well worth a visit if you are in Tokyo. They even have a basement floor dedicated to vintage watches. Also tax free for tourists!

Go visit Yodobashi Camera Shinjuku West Main Store for affordable watches. Or you can find more collection of high end watches in store called JACKROAD, located near JR Nakano station. It has collection of 5,000 watches!

Yup! The Nakano Broadway stores are great but ultimately they deal with used watches. They do sell new but it had to come from a customer selling them the watch. Nothing wrong with that but some people would rather deal with the boutique or from a more 'official' store.

Oh, you are living in Japan! I thought you were tourist visiting Tokyo. It is good to see watch crunchers in Japan. I agree some watch enthusiast would prefer official boutique rather than Nakano Broadway store.

Yup! I will write a short post regarding my time at Nakano Broadway. I’ve visited too many times and I would like to share some of my experiences there. It is addicting sometimes to just walk around Nakano due to the sheer amount of options there are out there.

But it also makes me a little sad that many of these watches are just sitting there and not being worn. Some people truly want these watches, but they’re just sitting in cases for profit flipping.
