Longines Spirit Zulu Time on different bracelets/straps

Hi there!

I just bought the 39mm Longines Zulu Time.

Initially bought the 42mm a while back but once I got hands-on with the newly released 39mm, I much preferred the more understated presence that the 39mm has on the wrist.

The 39mm size also allows me to wear it with the bracelet which is not an option for me on the 42mm due to how large it wears. Additionally, I also ordered the deployant strap in the dark brown colourway, which comes with the black/blue Zulu time instead of the tan leather which comes with the green/black variant.

Overall I am very pleased with the watch. The only small criticism I have against it is the bracelet. It’s fine, and fair for what you pay for. However, the lack of on-the-fly adjustment is slightly disappointing. If this had on-the-fly adjustment. It would be a slam dunk.

My favourite bracelet so far is still the IWC 5 link bracelet, but that’s in a different price category compared to the Longines.

The straps in the photos are a Dark Brown leather strap, a green leather strap, and a green cloth strap.

Looks nice. Great size choice too

Looks great especially on a strap 👍

Bracelet is the best

Looks great on all of them, but the brown matched particularly well.

Looks great! Love seeing how a different strap can change up a watch

·

Looks great on anything that watch! But that grey/green one is special! Congratulations on it🤝

I feel it. The Zulu Time is my favorite strap monster. I bought my bracelet variant, right when it got released and I meanwhile bought four more straps, for it. Nato, rubber, leather and sail cloth.

I was debating on the 42 vs 39mm version and after seeing these photos I think the 39 is definitely the way to go. I got a 7 inch wrist so not incredibly off in sizing. My favorite fitting watch is my speedmaster but looks like the Zulu time is right in-between for sizing

With a 7inch wrist, you can pull off both. What it came down to for me was just the wrist presence of the watch. Though even on a 7inch wrist I think the bracelet version of the 42mm can feel too big.

But in terms of ergonomics, I think Longines got the 39mm sizing spot on.

I have an 18cm wrist, so just over 7" and love my 42mm. Rockin in right that either would work, just depends how you like the fit.

Intrigued to see the rubber strap you have, do you have any pics you could share?

Looks so good! May I ask where you got the green cloth strap from?

I bought it from my local online marketplace here in Japan. I think an alternative would be the Barton fabric straps. They’re similar.

Thank you for the info on the alternative! Cheers 😊

You can go either way. I went 42mm as it's a pilot style GMT watch so a big dial is nice and I already have a 39mm GMT, a quartz grand Seiko

The bracelet model looks bigger because of those male end links. That said it's not extreme and I'll probably be buying the bracelet this year from my green model.
