…...just purchased my first ever Casio watch. It’s also my first digital ever. These have just never interested me but I’ve been seeing them here in WRUW and watching some YouTube videos and I decided I had to have one. This arrived on the Amazon truck today. I got it out of the box, fitted and shortened the bracelet and immediately got on Amazon and ordered another. 🤣 Now I’m looking at modding parts and vintage Casios and I’m very much afraid I’ve fallen down another rabbit hole. Show me some pictures of yours and educate me on how much I just don’t know.

Welcome to the club! Haha, Casio digitals are delightful. They're surprisingly well built for the price and are just a joy to wear because they're very light and highly legible (usually, some of the negative displays forgot to do their primary purpose XD).

Check out SKX mods for such digital casios as the Casio Royale and the Casio A168. You can find YouTube videos on such mod kits. I belive the channel Just the Watch features at least two videos of their kits.

I love Casio. They're so cheap as to be egalitaran, but always pushing the envelope of functionality and coming up with wild new features. The spirit of Casio is the opposite of the Rolex flex.
They're both the People's Watch and a pillar of horology. Anyone who doesn't think Casio is important to watch-making history just doesn't know their elbow from their Oyster Perpetual. 😏
You picked up a good one with the B650 there and I understand you have a Royale on the way. I feel like every collection needs a G Shock, for practical reasons if nothing else so that might be a future pick up. There's also so much to explore in their Vintage line and if you want some awesome analog action, there's the Edifice, Oceanus, and Lineage lines. They have radio-controlled analog watches that set their own hands! 🤯

I suspect that is a version of the W-217H. I chose the black-gold colour scheme. It is noticeably larger than the F91W and the larger display is more friendly to tired old eyes.
The readability is honestly the reason I picked this one for my first.

I am wearing this bad boy since yesterday. Casios have a charm, I guess it's the "retro-futurist" design for some models and a modern vibe for G Shocks. Also the combination of great prices and a huge number of models made them easy to collect and mod.
