Hello,
My fellow horology nerds, I can’t believe what I just acquired from a gentleman in PA. I was scrounging OfferUp for a dusty Willard. When I can upon this find. The pictures I posted here are the listing pictures. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, so I reached out to the young man and asked him about the listing.
He replied that the watch belonged to his garndfather and wore it since 1969/7. Prior to his passing he gifted to grandson in which he kept wore for a few years. I followed on and asked him if his grandfather ever served in military but he didn’t . I’m really intrigued on the life of this watch and the stories it holds.
My friends, I feel quite honored in keeping this time piece alive and ticking for another 60 years. I plan on having the piece fully serviced and keeping it in its current condition as I can’t bring my self to change any characteristics and patina.
Thank you all for enjoying this with me!
I absolutely appreciate you all and this great community! Keep it crunchy 🥠🍪
