Let's play hooky!
I was about to leave home for work this morning when I got a text from DHL.. a parcel on its way for delivery. For a while I was lost.. not expecting any till December. Quickly I checked my email and lo and behold, there was a message that I missed from my favorite strap buddy. He said he despatched out my orders 2 days ago! The orders were placed last week and he made it clear that earliest shipping date would be in December as he was backlogged. So this was indeed a pleasant surprise.. you know that feeling you get as a little child when you received birthday presents? Something drastic needs to be done... so as a responsible adult I decided to play hooky today! Quickly I told the Mrs.. the weather is great, let's have a nice breakfast outside today. She didn't need much persuasion and within 5 minutes we were off! From her looks I knew she was happy with this impromptu date, giggling like kids back then when we decided to skip school. After that we went shopping in the mall, just the 2 of us without those pesky kids 😁
We later sat quietly at the beach with drinks in our hands enjoying the wind and the sounds of the waves crashing. When I got back home, the small box was at the doorsteps. Come to think of it, the day's events were all started by these 2 little leather straps. I know it's pretty irresponsible leaving work like that but the Mrs and I really had a blast today. Would I do that again? Hell yes, without a doubt! Have you guys/gals did this recently? Love to hear your stories!

My Mrs has been badly ill with gallstones for the last 14 months, waiting for the op. Really awful time for her.
Giving us lots of time to plan post op adventures tho 👍
If I had a quarter for every time I left work early to pick up a watch... I'd have at least 2 dollars.

I hope she gets the op soon, like real soon. I had kidney stones before and there are no words to describe the pain I went thru. Not sure if this is similar to gallstones but suffering for 14 months is no joke. I wish her well and look forward to hear from you all the post ops adventures 🤝
