Great video. I have 3 pocket watches in my collection, and all 3 have the screw down case. One of them is in a silver case, while the other 2 both have cases that are clearly marked as gold filled (both "Fortune" cases). I had been under the impression that any solid gold case would have a hallmark of some sort showing the gold content - is that not the case? (pardon the pun).

Beautiful watches. American case companies don’t use hallmarks… only trademarks. For example, Fortune is a trademark of the American Watch Case Comany of Toronto designating a 10k 20yr gold-filled case.
Solid gold cases will usually have “US Assay” or a gold content given… but not always. I plan on making a video about this soon.
