First Citizen - First Titanium - Promaster GMT Diver

This is my first Citizen, a Promaster GMT "Super-Titanium" Eco-Drive on bracelet with sapphire crystal. I am quite happy with the watch (on sale for 200 US from a Citizen AD store). I haven't owned a Citizen, or a titanium watch. One thing I never liked about the brand is how they always seem to emblazon their logo in giant letters on their dials. But this version has a much more subdued logo.

The titanium is lightweight, with a brushed gray look and soft feel. It is very comfortable with a solid link bracelet and milled clasp. The case fits on the wrist much smaller than it's 43mm diameter. I thought for sure it was 41mm when I put it on, until I read the specs. Attaching the date cyclops under the crystal is a nice feature. The only color on the dial is the subtle yellow of the 24 hour marker, and GMT.

Being brand new, and in a box for who knows how long, it was out of juice when I got it home. After putting it in the bright sun for a few minutes the second hand started doing the 2 second jump thing. It took some fiddling to get it reset, but now it is happily ticking away - forever... from what the brochures say.

I think you got a bargain to 200

Ive yet to get a citizen, there always seems to be something that stops me, its usually the bezel, but this one looks good

I agree, great bargain. They also had a black silicone strap version for just 180.

I think I would have been tempted at both for that price, & sold one on once i made my mind up (its always the bracelet 😜)

Congrats! This watch is amazing! I love mine

This Citizen looks amazing and has great specs - seems like a bargain at $200. Citizen continues to punch way above it's weight class in my opinion.

I've often thought of buying that model but in blue instead I may still get one 🙂

I love love love GMTs that also have dive bezels! Much love & respect!

I don't know of many titanium 200M ISO-Compliant sapphire crystal watches at this price, if any.

Congratulations. Ticks so many boxes, that does. I have a couple Citizens but no GMT or titanium's. At that price, I may have to pull the trigger. That watch is all positives. Plus it is drop dead sexy meets pure class meets function.

Congrats on a great watch
