Sometimes microbrands are like a mosquitoe bite, the more you buy, the more it itches.

I think When you buy microbrands to satisfy your wish for buying a grail watch you can't afford. You'll never satisfy the itch, you'll keep buying but never be happy.

That’s certainly one perspective. I also think some collectors might just enjoy how much fun they can be at (relatively) affordable prices. We’re all on different journeys, which I love about this hobby.

I felt similarly until I got a Helm and that satisfied me. I’m not saying it will satisfy everyone but I’m good to go. Until I get the next Helm! 🇺🇸

I agree, if you bought a microbrand because you love the watch that's great. I do believe that much of the time people buy them because it's similar to what they really want, and that is my point, it will never satisfy the itch. I've seen unhappy collectors stuck with boxes of watches, I don't think that's healthy.

The Helm Komodo is an awesome watch and an amazing value...

Definitely worth the wait...those of you who don't have one...what are you waiting for? Go get on the list.

Mine came right before my Hawaii trip in December...so nice...

Have you ever considered the Atelier Wen Perception? Beautifu hand turnedl guilloché dial. Putting Chinese watch making on the map alongside seagull.

Thanks - I've thought about it but just not convinced.

I seriously thought about it when they did the first collab with Revolution Watch.

I'm just not persuaded by the overall design, but I do understand why they are popular.

I “discovered” micro brands last year and since have fallen down that rabbit hole. They have nothing to do with “grail” watches for me as I am lucky enough to have several watches many would consider grails.

Instead they offer an alternate to the established brands staid designs. Quite often they offer refreshing takes with no similarity to existing watches.

At my outdoor fishing gear shop they make for great bait.

Btw, I agree!

I own a CW, Norqain, Henry Archer and a Formex. I don’t feel that I settled in any way. All great watches at a great value.

You must be settled just by the fact you live in Maine. I was there this past summer, what a beautiful and relaxing experience.

Exactly. I have some microbrands myself, with the right perspective they can be a good buy.

That ceramic Tudor is a beauty.

I've gone a little down the rabbit hole. My watches from micro brands include Christopher Ward, Bausele, Isotope and Studio Underdog.

You definitely seem to have some nice watches. I wouldn't worry about getting some microbrands to top off the collection.

I think it isn't as versatile as some of Tudors other offerings. And you don't have a bunch of YouTubers shilling the watch. But for those that look past that I think it's a top watch.

I was "the first one on my block" to have one is how much I think of it. I do agree about the veresatility.

I don't know. I like microbrands because I like having something many other people may not have or haven't heard of. Of course, here, we've heard of these micros, but non watch people don't know what they are. They've heard of Seiko, Rolex, probably Fossil. I like having what many people don't have.

Touché mate n for us, these Microbrands are already 'good enough'. Having one's head wrapped around all that expensive stuff, one will never be satisfied with any microbrands or lesser big brands for that matter. N That's our point, eh?
