My blue dress watch

I bought this watch to celebrate a few years in Switzerland (it has a Swiss mouvement), a few years in the aerospace industry (the dial can look like a starry night sky) and as a nod to my Parisian roots (much like Cartier)!

How do you like it? It's a vintage must de Cartier Tank often called Lapis-lazuli

yes, really love the tank line. the Must tanks had the most interesting dials over a number of years, and i really like the lapis lazuli dial.

Absolutely gorgeous! 💯

the gold case match perfectly with the blue dial. very elegant. the only watch that can be great despite its small size.

TBH It looks more like a piece of jewlry than a watch. I know, watches are kind of both anyway, and Cartier is first jeweller second watchmaker, etc. but that dial turns the basic time-telling function into a rough guess, which is not my thing. But: horses for courses.

Nice piece! I like the combination of dial and your jacket. Little bit tiny case but for dress style it is OK!

It was great to see Cartier experiment quite a bit with them thanks to this line! Looks like they are starting to venture back into it with the new ones.

Always be honest, Balthazar!

Wristwatches definitely started as jewellery (be it for Elizabeth I, Caroline Murat or Countess Koscowicz of Hungary) and mechanical watches today arguably are back in that category since we now have more precise and accurate means to tell the time (or the date or any other complication).

That being said I agree with you that this one is definitely closer to a jewel than a tool haha

Thank you Jaro! If you're interested in the clothing I pair with my watches, don't hesitate to check out my Instagram (the link is in my profile).

I'd argue that smaller cases are good for sportwatches and toolwatches as well!
