A young dude in his 50’s from Sweden. Enjoying watches that pleases my eyes. Not into the whole technical aspect of movements, though i do prefer the Swiss manual or automatic ones.
Dont remember the brand. But i got the watch when i started school at age 7.
Silver case, chocolademilk brown dial with white arabic numerals. Synthetic strap in the same brown color, imitating mocca. Quartz movement.
Got ripped of my wrist one day during a fight after school. Never found it, even with my antagonists help with the search. 😄
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I bought a Hamilton GGW113 that is supposed to have belonged to an American soldier in the Vietnam War.
How true that is and if the watch is even authentic is beyond my knowledge.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Go slow and enjoy the ride. Searching for info and hunting for particular watch is half the fun of collecting.
Dont get caught up in the trends. Go your own way and buy what apeals to your taste/needs.
Dont let the hobby ruin you financially. No watch is worth going in debt for.
Dont talk bad about someones current watch or collection, we all have to start somewhere and it is usually a dynamic progression.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Sinn, Omega, Bell & Ross, Celegin and Zenith.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I managed to buy my grail watch a few years ago, the legendary Speedy. I even ended up selling it.
I did not get rid of it because i fell out of love with it. I used it to finance my next buy and to enjoy other types of watches.
