As the title says, I've always admired the Marine Star name and I like Bulova watches in general. This 1984, absolutely mint example showed up and I picked it up for a song.
Too bad it's dead as a door nail. ๐
Not the first time this has happened and it's always a consideration when buying used. There was no promise of it working and most of the time it just needs a new battery, but not this time. Very curious, since it's so mint.
That didn't confront me too much, I just received a new Miyota quartz movement the other day and will replace it on the next rainy day. I'll replace the Jubilee bracelet with something different as well, since it's too small.

The jubilee looks great with it, is it not the OEM strap?

It is the OEM bracelet but it's way too small. It has a double clasp, and right now in order to wear the watch one of clasps must be open. I may have some links that may work (if I have enough), but I'm keen on trying something different on it. Who knows, I might just keep the Jubilee style on it.
You know I'm a Marine Star fan boy right along with you bro ๐
Very good looking watch worth an overhaul
Lovely piece! I love the old Bulovas!
I have two already

Cool, I'd love to see them. Are they early examples like mine? Post them here! ๐
