Lost and found!
My wife and I went to visit family in Europe for Christmas. I brought 4 watches with me for the trip, including this one.
I was wearing it on our return trip, including the drive back from the airport. We were very tired upon getting home, so we dropped our bags, showered, and went straight to bed.
In the next few days I looked for this watch but couldn't locate it. I checked out bags, the laundry, high and low, couldn't find it.
I never forgot about it, kept my eyes on eBay and watchrecon to see if any bargains on it would come up since it appeared mine was gone for good, no luck.
Alas, my wife found it for me today, after it being missing since late December of last year. It had somehow wound up under my desk at home, and the battery was still high.
Today is a good day. Hope you're all doing well.

I don't know about a hunger strike, but I probably wouldn't return to work, or even leave the house, until I found one of my Omegas or my Rolex 😜.
I hear you lol but I'm glad your wife found your Casio. I have that same one is my workout and vacation watch.
