The SEIKO route or the micro brand route ?
As Christmas is approaching, I am questioning myself on which watch should I get next?
Being a big fan of Seiko I have wanted to buy an alpinist for a long time.
I have also recently found an interest on certain microbrand for various reasons (design/price/availability).
I need some help guys.

I Got myself the alpinist spb117 for Christmas, it just arrived yesterday and it ist absolutely fantastic!
Don't know about the brew but I also have a lorier falcon III, I love that watch also but I just noticed the gasked inside the crown came loose, so I'm not so sure anymore about their quality control.
The seiko definitely feels more substantial.

If at a later date you want to upgrade your collection it'll be far easier to sell than a microbrand.
If it's a keeper, then spare parts & servicing will be much easier in 5, 10 or 20 years.
