A birthday gift for my father
The older I become, the more I realize that what makes my elderly parents happy is spending quality time with them. My father, who is a watch enthusiast, gave me my first Swiss watch when I was 16, and that was the beginning of my watch collecting journey. Sharing the same passion allows me to have an interesting topic to discuss with him for hours on end.
My father and I both find the story of Sea-Gull, Tianjin Watch Factory, particularly fascinating.
Therefore, I have spent the last few months working on a project that allows me to become more educated about the evolution of Sea-Gull, and also provides a chance to collect their watches from different periods over the last 69 years.
On my father’s 85th birthday, I gifted him a “Chronicle of Tianjin Watch Factory” watch box.

WuXing – Obviously, it is impossible to get an original from 1955 since only two were ever made as prototypes. So, I bought a reissued WuXing model known as FKWX. It is a limited release.
