Beauty and the beater. The scratches on the crystal really show in this light.

Ahh the watch the would not fit my wrist. I tried, but it happened to be the quickest turnaround ever. I received it and sold the next day. Looks great on you my man!

Thank you, Mike! It's definitely pushing the limits, but luckily my wrist is kind of flat on top. It's way to beat up to try and sell now. 😁 Have a good one, buddy!

Yes some mileage on it, but what a dial! 👍💯

Great wrist presence Lawrence 😁 love the strap 🤩

Beaters are the best Lawerence. I love the fact that you don't have to worry about a thing when it's on your wrist. What's even better than beater is a cool beater. 🔥

Thank you, Dev! I noticed you sporting a similar strap today, as well. 👌

Well, I meant the elastic MN style strap. I'm not colorblind, I promise. 😂 Super comfy straps.

Great photos Lawrence, it’s been ages since I used a shotgun 😉

Thanks, Andy! It's been a couple of years for me, I need to get back at it.

Thanks, Fred. This is from a brand called Yildiz. They are Turkish made guns that were imported to the US exclusively for Academy Sporting Goods. I bought it almost 15 years ago, and I also have it in a .410. It's a very polarizing gun online; people either love them or hate them. For a recreational shooter like myself, it's perfect. Modeled after the Beretta, but for about a quarter of the price. Beautiful engraving, good bluing, and a beautiful walnut stock. It also has a mechanical trigger instead of an inertia trigger, which is always a plus. Supposedly, Briley was doing the warranty work on them, so I took a chance. I stopped keeping track, but I've put at least 2100 shells through it, with absolutely no mechanical failures or misfires, and the majority of that was with reloads (as you can tell from my dirty shells 😂). I haven't been shooting in a couple of years, but I'd like to go soon before the weather turns too hot. It's really a great gun for the money, and the .410 is a hoot!

Wow thank you for the info Lawrence. Looks like a fun gun and a great value. I don't own any break action shotguns but I am always looking. Firearms are like watches for me

Sure thing, Fred! This one and the .410 are my only "crack-barrel" shotguns. I shot a 20 ga. 870 pump for years, but once I started reloading, I quickly got tired of picking up my hulls off the ground. 😁

My girlfriend gave me a CZ side by side 20 gauge for Christmas a couple of years ago. It is as you said made in Turkey for CZ. It is an astounding shotgun in my opinion especially for the money. It is to the gun world as San Martin is to the watch world or Steeldive or Addiesdive in my opinion,

I never got the chance to handle a CZ, but I bet it's along the same lines as this. Some of those old guys at the gun clubs can be pretty snobby about anything other than a Browning, Beretta, or Perazzi, but that never bothered me. It shoots straight, and busts clays just fine. 😁 Funny thing about that: I'd always see CZ decals on the back of mini-vans and SUVs, and I'd think, "Damn, there are a lot of gun-toting soccer moms driving around." It wasn't until years later that my wife told me they were CheerZone stickers. 😂

Awesome picture, Lawrence.

Yildiz makes a fine shotgun.

My youngest son was on a trap shooting team all through highschool.

Saw a few of those at meets.

Thank you, Mark! I wish my high school had offered clay shooting. That would have been awesome. 👍 They've both been fine guns, really impressed with them for the price.

Yeah, I would've enjoyed doing trap during highschool.

His team went to state & nationals & it's quite an event!

That's awesome, Mark. Does he still shoot?

I started off shooting trap when I lived in Arkansas, until one of the old guys took me under his wing and showed me how to shoot skeet. That's been my favorite, since. Every now and then, I would find a place that offered 5-stand or sporting clays, which is a lot of fun, but very humbling at times. 😁😳

Humbling indeed.

I know better than trying to compete with junior shooting clays. He's like a machine.

He still shoots for fun, but not nearly as much as when he was competing.

He would burn through over 1000 rounds in just one season.
