A list of bronze dive watches. Which one is your favorite?

On the hunt for my first bronze watch to add to my collection, thought it would be cool to have a watch that age with me, and to represent my watch collecting journey that I just started not too long ago. Leaning towards a dive one particularly. Please share some other bronze dive watch or look like one with a bezel, that I don’t have listed and I’ll update it for others and myself to reference. Thanks!

With price point in mind, so far my favorite one is the Baltic, due to it it got the vintage look and a sapphire bezel. Also just something about the numeral font and the dark brown fume appeals to me. Another one would be the Hamilton. Honorable mention would be the Glycine Airman, I wish it had matching date color at least or no date at all. Also I am not sure if this is actual bronze for it to patina. It says “Antique Bronze.” Anyone knows if it does patina?

Here are the pictures of some of the bronze dive watch and hope this helps someone that are looking for one.

If you can have one of these, which one is your favorite?

Keep up the sharing guys! Much appreciate it! Really liking the wise and spinnaker one so far, along with the Baltic one :)

The Hamilton is not a dive watch, but an aviation watch.

lol I’ll update it, dive watch look with a bezel.

Oris Diver's 65 is available in bronze.

San Martin make bronze divers, though mostly clomages. Same goes for Thorn, Steeldive and Addiesdive.

Yema had a bronze Superman, though they don't make them anymore.

·

I would go Zelos, CW, or Oris.

The Hamilton is lovely.

Really unique looking out of the bunch with the cathedral hand and the second hand by itself at 6 O’clock

I got to see the all bronze divers 65 at Windup amd really liked it, and the BB58 in bronze is lovely. There are a lot, but mine is the CW Aquitaine. What gets me about this every time I see it is contrast. The sunburst blue of the dial and the polished bronze looking hands and indices contrast against the aged bronze case so well. I have had it for 2 years now.

Looks really good! Does that a nato comes with it? And did it patina much or you clean it off every now and then? And how fast did you start to notice the patina?

Hamilton is the stand out for me, followed by the Oris, then the Airman.

Personally I avoid the China stuff and microbrands because they'll be hard to sell when you want to upgrade (which you will).

Good luck , look forward to seeing what you choose 😁👍🏻

Thank you and added!

The NATO was aftermarket, I can find where if you’d like.

The patina starts up rather quickly but after a few years you still don’t see any greening. After a few months of owning I polished it a little with jewelry polishing rags, only a little, and haven’t bothered since.

When it was new and fairly shiny it would stain my skin a bit, particularly when I sweat on it. Those stains washed right off and all but they’re worth considering. All bronze is not the same and our skin is all different so I wouldn’t call this a blanket statement just something to consider.

Selten Salvage Bronze? I don't have it, but maybe one day... 😀

I like the look of this one a lot. The blue is fantastic but I wouldn’t have a bronze watch as I had a Zelos and it turned my wrist green. The oris big crown I had didn’t but I’m not prepared to risk trying bronze again

Was the case back bronze as well? Thanks for the tip. I did hear another person saying about that issue as well.

Now I see why I see some with stainless steel case back.

And thanks for sharing about the wise bronze. I’ll add it to the list

Love and hate situations with limited edition. You love it when you have it and that make it specials. Everyone hate it in a good way that they can’t find it anywhere for sales lol

You're absolutely right, and I got very lucky with mine because it's numbered 100/100

perfect score! 💯 ;)

Both has stainless steel and saphire case backs the oris didn’t stain from either watch or buckle the Zelos did on both

The oris may well have sat the case off my wrist more than the Zelos but I think it was the bronze blend that was the difference

Great looking watches you have chosen 👍

To each their own, everyone have their own preferences :)

Certain bronze can be more prone to corrosion I believe. It depends on the mix of other metals, like aluminum with bronze it would be more corrosion resistant. Additional note, As long you don’t force patina on it and have a natural way of letting it patina, it will create a protective layer to prevent corrosion.

I never said it was bad I just said There’s some aspect of it I really don’t get. I like Soviet watches and a lot of people don’t get that either so there you go. :)

Beautiful! Got a nice patina going on. How long you had it?

About a year. It went way darker and I pulled it back a bit. Thanks!

·

I went with this one. TBH I loved it when I purchased but I don’t wear it enough for it to start the patina process! Happy hunting and lmk if you want a good deal on this one 😉

Gotta love a green dial on bronze, can’t go wrong.

Thanks for sharing

The Baltic & Yema are my personal favs! I have the standard steel Baltic (blue glint), but have always had a soft spot for the bronze one!

Did you thought about using a nato strap to help with the coverage so you don’t get the stain on your wrist?

No I don’t like wearing nato straps as a rule. the oris was on a leather strap and the Zelos had both a leather and a rubber strap but all had bronze buckles

I see. Just need some extra love than other watch you have ;) and brush the underneath.
