Wolbrook Skin Divers

What do you all think about this watch company and this particular skin diver?

Never heard of the brand. Is this a homage of the GO SEAQ? Seems to take style cues from that.

Edit; looked at their web site. It uses a Miyota movement and lists at about $450 - 520 USD depending upon configuration.

Could be ok, but never heard of them before you posted.

I have one and love it so far.

(Not that particular model)

This dial layout was used by a variety of brands back in the 60s. While it looks similar to the SeaQ, it’s just as likely that they trace back to a common historical style rather than a direct SeaQ homage. I guess it really depends on the historical knowledge and motivation of Wolbrook’s owner to see where the truth lies on that issue.

I like mine a lot. It’s fairly simple design/finish wise, but then again it’s cheap enough I wouldn’t expect more.

I have the green skin diver with the rubber strap. Really enjoying it so far. Wolbrook included a free leather strap as well which really helps this watch have a variety of roles.

Apparently they had this watch in the Market in the 60s, with the same design but different components and smaller case.

It means that the SeaQ is actually the Homage to this and other Skin Divers from back then 😜

Glashutte also used this design in the 60s. What I’m trying to express is that none of the modern versions are an homage to any other specific brand in the past. They are all referencing a common design lineage. It would be nearly impossible now to discover the first brand to introduce this iconic look.
