Birthday watch?

Alright y’all I found another excuse to buy a watch. My birthday is on the 26th of June and I was thinking about getting myself a birthday/summer.Just wanted to get y’all’s opinions on what i should possibly get

I have a good few options some are more “dressy” than summer but oh well 🤷🏾‍♂️

1.Squale 1521

I’ve had my eye kn this watch for at least a year and the polished case with bright blue bezel and dial with the orange minute hand just screams summer to me definitely would add some much needed color to my dull black and grey collection 😂

2.CWard Twelve

Second watch on the list this watch is interesting to me not only because of the purple dial but the titanium case and bracelet this would be my first experience with a titanium watch and I think it would be fun to have not to mention I don’t have a integrated bracelet watch yet and I think this is a good option to start out

3.Junghans MaxBill

Also not really a summer watch but I love the vintage look of this piece and being able to add colorful straps to this watch would really make the gold pvd case and white dial pop making this a “summer watch” 😂

4.Accutron Legacy

I’ve also had this watch on my radar for little over a year now and I love the gold case with the bright colorful straps I think this could easily be the best dressy/summer watch out theee while also being extremely unique in its design (plus not everyone is walking around with a 1950’s tv on their wrist)

Depending on the wrist size, I’d go with the CW twelve. I think it’s a lovely proposition

I voted for the Squale 1521. As a 1521 owner (PVD version), this is a beautiful watch that won't break the bank, is readily available second-hand, and is tough as nails. It is arguably more versatile than the CW12 (which seems the most popular, perhaps being the latest and greatest?) due to the ability to accept a variety of strap change options.

That said, as the owner of 2 (soon 3) integrated bracelet watches, I believe the CW12 could be a lovely option - albeit potentially a little hard to match with a wardrobe due to the purple burst dial.

I voted for the Junghans (probably also biased as an owner) because I love the bauhaus design and the ease to wear it with awesome dimensions. Although I would go for the dial with Arabic numerals since the bauhaus font is really cool and the stick markings without numerals looks almost too plain. But for some that's the exact appeal of the watch.

Get that Accutron. Too many Divers around for the Squale, same with the bauhaus styled Junghans. The CW Twelve is interesting but because it’s the flavor of the month and the hype should settle down.

·

CW12 would be my first choice although with the blue dial?

Like you I don't have anything similar and there has been huge positivity around this watch since it came out. Christopher Ward are well on the way tobecoming THE next premium brand in my opinion. I need to get one before prices head too far north!

I really like the accutron, so cool!

CW12 is still the flavor of the week but the Accutron is the truly interesting one here. 1&3 are things I just don't understand.

·

aahhh... I had the Squale 1521 for awhile and sold it after I picked up my seamaster. I really liked it but I didn't see the point in two blue dive watches... but damn, seeing it on that strap makes me wish I kept it and tried out different straps for it.

That looks really fun!

The Legacy is just *so* different. Love it!

Purple will go out of style so quickly. Blue on the other hand is more safer.

I had a chance to wear the twelve recently in titanium and fell in love with the purple dial. That’s my vote. Second would be the Max Bill in some of the more interesting varieties and limited editions to have some fun but be more restrained than the Twelve.

Yea I’m very interested in the twelve it would by far in my opinion be the most unique watch in my collection with the titanium case and purple dial but idk there’s a lot of good options
