Rolex OP weekend

Bought my Rolex 34mm OP in 1989. This then was the man's size. Didn't like the cyclops on the Date Just and tried on a no date sub but thought it was too big for my 7" wrist! For a long time rued my decision when the larger watch craze came in but this will be the perfect watch to hand down to my daughter, who had just been born when I bought it. Enjoy your day...

Oh wow, never seen this one before. Didn’t know that they made a OP34 with this Roman numeral dial. Looks really good on your wrist! The design aged very well, it looks a bit like a modern OP and a Cellini have a child :)

Class.  I prefer Rolex from 80s thru 2000s much more than modern Rolex, not sure why.  I even like the jangly bracelets.  Even though modern Rolex is superior in just about every way, they just seem more like jewelry than watches.

Wasn't sure about the dial when I first bought as I preferred the baton markers but couldn't find the one I wanted. Was planning to swap the dial over (which you could do back then) but never did as it grew on me the longer I had it.

Definitely a very interesting dial, not one I've ever seen before!

That dial is very special. There are not many OPs out there with a dial like that. Very nice 🙌🔥

That’s a lovely watch and a great fantastic heirloom to pass down. Whatever it was that made you buy it in the first place, will be in your daughter’s thoughts when she looks/wears it.
