Watch roll for travel

Hi guys, so I have a fair collection and have become a bit annoyed that when I travel I generally only wear one watch. I can't really come at wearing one on each wrist, no offence Marc from Islander, and my watch boxes hold 12 each.

My question is what do you guys use to carry multiple watches when on the move?

I believe some brands offer a travel case, but I think they are only for singles. Cheers.

The one in your thread picture can be bought from Amazon for peanuts, it's what I use and does the job brilliantly.

For one extra watch I use a watch pod, these can also be bought on amazon.

A sock also works really well, just roll the watch up in it.

Yeah that one I posted was a serving suggestion. I like the idea of the pod, but many of mine are robust so the sock would work too! I do like them being organised and protected tho.

I bought two watch rolls from AliExpress for like $22USD each, and they are phenomenal. I couldn't justify spending $100+ for a name brand roll so I took a chance with a Chinese special and I haven't looked back since. I can send you the exact one I bought if you're interested.

I have a 'Triple pod' thing and I actually am not impressed, my bracelet'ed watches bracelets still ended up kinda scrunched up and rubbing on itself. On leather or rubber however they work just fine!

i’ve tried them all. the watch rolls are good - very robust and definitely provides the best protection. but they’re bulky and kinda take up a lot of space in my carry on luggage.

the watch pouch (the one on the right) is really good quality. the nubuck material inside feels really soft and provides adequate protection but you just have to be wary not to squish your watch in the luggage because it doesn’t have a hard case like the watch rolls do.

and then most recently my AD have me the black on on the bottom. it’s a zippered watch pod with foam padding inside. it works but it feels very cheap. it’s also rather bulky. i’d use this one in a pinch but prefer the watch roll or pouch instead.

all of these can be had for cheap. i wouldn’t spend a lot on a travel case. get whatever is cheapest on Amazon

If I travel with more than one, I use this:

https://prometheusdesignwerx.com/products/edtc?variant=31197801775190

Functional, protective, small. Can also be used for other items without the insert. And if you put two in the case and wear another that's three.

Absolutely, thank you. It's great when a product has been tested by a fellow enthusiast. It looks like it offers protection and organisation - which I appreciate. Cheers.

Thanks for the advice. That's three different things styles I am now tossing up between. The pod style seems most protective but takes up more room. I feel like I am leaning towards the roll?

Yes the sunglass style seems to offer great protection. Thank you.

Can you show me a pic inside please, cheers.

From Amazon. Not sure of the

exact name, but I can look it up if you want. Holds 5 watches comfortably. Two way zipper closure

Not really expensive, but not cheap

For watches on rubber, nato or leather is fine, for bracelet I put small cleaning cloth between. Traveling up to 30 flights per year, never had an issue

·

I have kept most of the boxes that my watches arrived in. When I go on business trips, I wear my favorite watch, and put one or two in cheapo foam-lined boxes and but them in my bag.

·

Leather watch roll 3 slot. I use 2 rolls when I travel.

Cheers!

·

I bought a cheap watch roll from Amazon and it does the job when out and about traveling.

Your roll was my first thought when I posted. I am still tossing up. Will post when I decide. Thank you.

Yea it is a sturdy box and protected well when closed. Size is as small pocket book so can put in backpack to plane easily and always have them close to you. So with one on wrist you can travel with up to 5 watches

I also have the one pictured and it works very well. My wife gave it to me as a Christmas gift last year; purchased through Amazon IIRC.
