Island Watch x Marathon collab
Saw this on Instagram. Anybody excited or have predictions? I’m hoping for a 39-40mm tritium field watch. I’ve purchased from Marc in Long Island and also from Marathon directly and I’ve had a great experience from both.

My guess is that it’ll be an islander watch with a Marathon logo and tritium. If it’s a white Navigator sign me up!! I have a composite Navigator now and I’m due for a stainless one

I feel like I'm going to have a hard time not buying this, and I don't even know what it is yet. Marathon's utilitarian philosophy plus Marc's grasp on what kinds of specs/details people care about in the enthusiast market sounds like a promising combination.
I'm looking forward to see what Raven and Nodus come up with, sounds like a all black gmt!!
I'm guessing a tad more modern sized Gen Purpose Mech, hand cranker or auto. White dial maybe. Marathon instead of tritium.
Sadly it will prolly have sapphire.
Navi would be cool, but price point wise a custom Navi with tritium might be a bit higher than LIW's usual fare.
And while it is TOYALLY justified, the absolute and complete whining and bemoaning that will happen on Reddit, Insta, and YT will be annoying.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Islander, Marc, etc. I also love Marathon. But outside of the fan base on here, a lot of ppl will be expecting Marathon levels of QC at typical Islander pricing. TINSTAFL.
Sadly case in point. When most say bang for buck, what they mean is make it cheaper with ALL the features.
