Seiko 5 Mod Thoughts
Hello, I purchased this watch and just wanted to ask what kind of thoughts come to mind when it comes to mod’s on a time piece. I loved and have been eyeing up the Seiko 5 SPDR for some time now, but did not like the crystal that came with the original watch. I found this one by a legit seller online. He changed the crystal to sapphire and changed the bezel as well. How do you feel about these changes? Does it keep you from wanting to buy a watch? I enjoy an original factory made watch, but I felt this model needed those changes. It’s based on opinion, but was curious for another thought.

It looks great, if the price was right and the work was trustworthy I think it’s a great looking, somewhat unique piece.
If there's something I don't like about a watch I don't buy it. Once it gets tinkered with it's yours forever. Warranty voided and tough to sell.

Agreed and that’s why I wanted to capitalize on the purchase. Beautiful color in my opinion, and it does match. Seller also mentioned the hands could be changed but I’d rather keep something to the original model
