The SRPB77 Seiko Presage Cocktail

So WC…..it’s done. I have officially sold 10 watches to pay myself back for this one…..yes, I decided to play a challenge with myself. I have wanted a Seiko Presage in my collection for some time. So….I thought, after I bought it, why don’t I just pay myself back. So I did……grabbed this Seiko for $305.

You see, I want to liquidate my “affordable” pieces for more quality watches. That way I can trick myself to buy and spend less…..you know, take my time, rather than being impulsive.

2 of these belong to my wife, with her permission of course, but one was broken, but someone still bought it for parts.

So, below are the watches I liquidated to pay for my PRESAGE:

Well done. I just sold my fifth and final (for now) and will spend some time on the hunt.

What are you hunting for? I’m curious…..I think my next “quality piece” will be a Tag, Hamilton, or Longines.

I was actually going to put in some additional money and get a Cartier Tank for my wife. She hinted that I should stop getting her watches 🤣

I’m going to see what kind of deal I can get in Japan for a preowned Seamaster or Speedy.

Great idea! That has me thinking…..I might need to add Grand Seiko to my list. 🤣

Lovely Seiko 😀

Nice choice on the Cocktail Time!

Nice, sold a bunch of fashion watches (minus the Casio) for a classic

Best decision ever. I am constantly on this track stared with selling Chinese specials and getting a Tissot. Sold Tissots to get Longines. Sold them for Omegas and finally Omegas for Rolex. This doesnt mean that the one is better than the other but the invest is easier to experience as many brands as possible. On the other hand last year I have sold bunch of Seiko 5‘s to get the SARB035, Presage and a GS.
