Strap Monster

I've come to the realisation that I need to have a good Strap Monster watch in the collection. I do like a good Nato style look which I find comfortable as an easy wear. Not to mention easy to mix up the look.

I have some good options already, seamaster 300M. But I'm liking the bracelet so leaving it be, for now!

I would like the cruncher conscious on what watch would be a great strap monster. Criteria is:

Three hander

Max limit 6000

NOT a Omega Speedmaster Pro !

NOT Rolex

Max 44 mm diameter

Open to all suggestions. Dont be shy

I'm not really sure what makes a watch a strap monster other than having standard lugs.

But here are some cool ones that I really like. Almost all are titanium and sapphire etc. Most of them also solar and radio controlled etc. Including the Casio.

Not the blue chronograph though, that's just my cheap one but it's nice anyways.

Field watches often make excellent strap monsters. Simple, monochromatic dials lend themselves well to straps of many different colors and materials. Two examples immediately come to mind:

Image
  1. the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38. Looks good on literally everything.
  2. the Serica 4512, here pictured destro but you can order it the regular way around too. As I've said on here before, it looks good on everything and, unlike the Hamilton, you can dress it up just as much as you can dress it down.

agreed. I already have both of these. The Serica i can see me moving it from the Bracelet onto Nato fairly soon

Any black dial with stainless steel case. My Sinn 556i Mother of Pearl goes with anything. I kind of want a yellow NATO but the urge hasn’t gotten overpowering yet. (Last two photos are not mine but were in my camera roll so figured I’d share)

Thanks for sharing. Sinn definitely has many options which I'm my head at least could be great strap monsters. Think your right with the black dial approach. Easily the most versatile to go with straps
