Hamilton’s Khaki Aviation Pilot Day Date Auto is a stellar watch (see what I did there?). Jokes aside, this piece delivers on all fronts. 42mm, so it’s legible without being obnoxious. In-house automatic movement. Insane 80-hr power reserve. Water resistant to 100m. And an every day wearability of watches 4-5x’s the price. Been a while since it’s gotten wrist time, and I found myself admiring it all day.
Do you have sub a $1k watche that holds it’s own alingside much more expensive watches?

That model was the first "nice" watch I bought for myself. I don't wear it much these days, but it is a well made watch.
I actually wear "cheaper" watches from Marathon, Timex, and CW more than my Hamilton.
Huh, I forgot it's only 42mm because it's all dial. Yeah, it's nice. Still not pulling at my heartstrings though. Sorry, Hammy KAA. I prefer your hot cousins the Hammy KFA.
I almost sold mine recently to help fund my next purchase. Got as far as listing it. But then realised I just couldn't do it. Will just have to save harder, as it's staying.

Nice!

I think that’s the right decision! Honestly, I have no idea how it’s holding value…and I don’t think I could sell it for enough to warrant how I’d miss it.

Haha - I agree…the KFA’s are so nice! I hope to post something today about my wife’s Field Murph, which I think is a complete stunner!
I love this watch and wear mine on a daily basis. The only small complaint I have is that the bracelet jangles slightly when I move around a lot. I wish the bracelet was more securely fastened.
But then again, for its price and what it's offering, the watch is indeed stellar.

I fixed that with a tiny sliver of cardboard in the clasp. Can't see it and have forgotten it's there. Did the trick as it really annoyed me too. Shouldn't have to do that with a +£500 watch but definitely better than a Seiko of equivalent value.
My Tissot perpetual calendar punches above it’s weight class and its a quartz!

Beautiful!
I have to say that I think Maen is one of the best bang for the buck brands out there as far as cost vs quality with Rhonda swiss movements and a price tag under 1k 😎
