Lol tl:dr you mean poor man’s Rolex in the end?
Ive had Rolexes before any Tudor came my way and imo, Rolex is the dumb man’s Tudor. (please dont take it too seriously and not an invitation for a debate, you)
Though with that said, agree that the Black Bay line is the poseur line up in Tudor.. but any modern Tudors are much more worth than a silly crown that does the same thing and has the same capabilities, besides the status.
I found that odd too. My first luxury watch was a Rolex explorer 1, followed by explorer 2 polar because you know “go big or go home”… then very quickly, i went down the sliding scale to vintage and modern Rolex DJ. Eventually went further down to Tudor.
What I learned; spending that much money on a watch, even if I could afford it does not equate to happiness. So down further I went into Tudor and found the perfect balance of premium and tool in the FXD.
If I felt fancy or just wanted to relax, i’d strap on the Taisetsu. Yes, back to Luxury tier with the GS, but the value in that watch made more sense than owning a Rolex. Also it was a gift from the wife 😅
In hindsight, i should’ve never started buying watches.
Imo it aint a GS movement unless its finished and regulated by GS. At this price point, youre looking at the LX vs a basic GS spring drive, and I’d take the GS anytime just on finishing, regulation and warranty alone. Save up a little more and you can afford the fancier dials. Whats not to like?
“i d0nT gIvE a… “ literally only buys the brands that has heavy influence on the watch market and the watch community itself from you guessed it, watch marketing ie influencing. Relax, no one cares
