New Islander GMT with NH34!

I just saw this release and am really considering it, especially at that price! I am not sure simply because he mentioned another Islander GMT with the Miyota 9075 that is being released later. If I do get a Calabro, it will be either the Pogue or the white with blue accents. I do like the look of this dial, especially in the white.

I've had mine for the last week or so and I've really been enjoying it.

I think these are some of the sharpest watches in their lineup

·

I hope they create some smaller NH34 GMTs in the future (and in blue). 48mm lug-to-lug is too big for me.

Off to a strong start though.

·

Marc makes great watches at great price points this one doesn't do it for me though that said I am sure the build quality is first class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! enjoy

·

if you can wait do so Marc is turning stuff out fast the 9075 is a great movement!

I have been agonizing over this myself. I really like the look of the Calabro, but I also have a couple of watches with the NH34 movement and really want one with the 9075 movement. 🤣

then wait it will serve as a variation in your collection besides Mark will never run out of watches. He seems to understand the watch geek in all of us probably because he is one himself.

I sold off some pieces and bought the Seiko SPB 381 maybe the best all around Seiko's I have owned I WAS considering GMT's from RZE, Jack Mason, Vaer, very happy I waited

That is what I will probably do, since I already have a watch or two with the NH34 movement, and I am wanting to get something with the 9075 movement. I am also looking at the new Bulova Oceanographer GMT with their version of the 9075.

I wish Seiko would release an SKX013 sized version of their new Seiko 5 GMT. Tandorio released a 37mm GMT and I really like it!

Honestly, I have been really surprised at the quality of Tandorio watches. I have several and all have been great purchases. The finishing is a bit rougher than a brand like San Martin; no signed crown, a sharp edge here or there on the case, but none of the QC issues that plague other budget brands on AliExpress. The alignment on the chapter rings and rotating bezels is actually better than Seiko, at least in my experience. All the case backs are stainless steel, even on the titanium and bronze models, which some may consider a drawback, but where else are you going to find a bronze or titanium automatic watch with a Seiko movement for less than $100? The last thing I really like about this brand is the range of sizes they produce. Three of the diver watches I have are based on the 37mm SKX013 model, and I also have a 36mm bronze Explorer-style watch. They just released a 36mm titanium watch like the bronze one I have that I am considering getting. After all, it is less than $100. 🤣

They make a 36mm and a 39mm pilot/explorer style watch in both bronze and titanium. If you are interested, I have a 39mm titanium Tandorio pilot watch I am getting rid of because I want the newly released 36mm version. You pay for shipping and it's yours. Just let me know if you are interested.

Also, one other slight drawback I failed to mention in my earlier post; the lume is not great. It is actually pretty good for what you pay, but it can't compare to big name brands like Seiko or Citizen, let alone luxury brands.

UNDERSTAND it makes sense the 36 mm size would work well I was thinking of the same size I appreciate your offer it is very kind of you but you will find some wrist time for it👍💪

·

the blue dial is the way I would go they look like Hamilton Field watches

here's a thought I bought a Baltany mecca quartz chrono on a lark after watching one of Jody's bloggings. If your interested 39mm 100meters WR screw down crown and pushers good build quality it gets almost zero wrist time if you want to trade let me know if there is any interest Get the 36mm blue dial w logo👍
