I was reading a post by @ryouma on 12:00 date windows and it got me thinking more broadly about date windows in general. Of course, there is the wider conversation about whether one prefers watches with or without a date window. Also, there are discussions about companies that execute date windows well or bad, and best position on the dial for a date window. Personally, I prefer the 6:00 position for a date window in general.

I also think the color can affect how well a date window works. It is one of the reasons I like my new Islander Bayport

I also like the dial day or date complications.

However, my favorite date window on one of my watches is the 4:00 date window on my Citizen Promaster. I generally don't really like 4:00 or 4:30 date windows, but this one just works for me.

Haven’t given the date window so much thought really. But after wearing my SPB almost 2 weeks in a row I’ll say it works just fine. No distraction from the datewindow to the dial. I think the old version, like mine, works better regarding the date function than the new one.
Right here. I have no idea why, but this just looks amazing to me.
Like, I literally know nothing about Glashutte Original. I have no idea if they're good or bad watches. All I know is that when they put a date window on a watch, that date window looks awesome.
Is it weird to want a watch solely because of how well the date is displayed???
The Citizen is very cool. Have to say my favorite. The Glashutte pieces are beautiful. I have only seen a few on wrist. Said to be very well built and accurate
One that has a frame if it's supposed to have a frame... isn't that right @Deeperblue ? 🙄
The picture of the Certina is actually the picture of the Tissot again. 😉
Nice and I like the three o'clock position and next to the three o'clock position.
