I just got this Nixon Re-Run as a gift from my brother. He knows I have a thing for vintage and retro digital watches and thought I would appreciate this model. His words were "it looks sort of like that Timex Space Invaders watch you showed me, so I got it for you." I appreciate the gift and did my best to appear properly enthusiastic, but I don't know much about Nixon as a brand beyond the usual "...two surfer dudes decided to start a watch company producing affordable watches with modern designs...yada yada yada..." on their website. The watch seems pretty good, although it has an integrated bracelet, which I detest. My suspicion is that it is manufactured in China using Chinese parts. What I am curious about is the design; is it their own design? Does anyone know if Nixon designs their watches or are they another MVMT/Daniel Wellington just adding their logo to an AliExpress watch?

I don't know much either.. I had 1 Nixon I bought myself for a really good sale, big heavy steel watch, quartz, with no lume or anything. It was just adequate, and that was even before I started getting more into watches. I'd wear every once in a while, but without any complications/features I usually like in my watches I'd just keep it a drawer most of the time.
