Recent arrival on the bench a lovely early UFO with the resist dial and proof caseback from 1970.
Last service unknown but would have been many years ago the movement is running ok but the hour counter is not resetting.
Upon strip down found the hour reset lever broken (can be seen in the 2nd photo on the RHS and alone in the 3rd photo) which is a common issue on these if left unused for some time when the lower pusher is depressed the lever can snap in half due to old oils and grease’s seizing the components up.
A replacement lever has been ordered along with a new crystal and gaskets.
The base movement has been rebuilt and is running great will complete the full reassembly once the ordered parts arrive.
Also got a couple of vintage Seiko divers coming in for work so will do another post if there is interest.

Good work fella. 👏
I wish I could do this. I have a special love for 70s watches.
