On the bench this week last job of the year Blue Pogue

Last job on the bench for 2023 a lovely original Blue Pogue 6139-6002 from 1971.

In for a full service, new mainspring and gaskets.

The owner of this watch took it to another watchmaker who wasn’t interested in servicing it.

This was serviced in 2020 but has been running poorly with low amplitude when I stripped it down it has been over oiled with gunk and a small fibre found on the pallet jewels.

Will finish this one off after Christmas as I’m now at the beach and will get back to this one next week.

Have a great Christmas and festive season to you all.

Well done. We need people with your skills 👍

I really wish Seiko would release an updated version of this. It's so iconic!

Hell, even a straight reissue would sell like crazy

I bet it will come soon, #seiko has been bringing out a lot of reissues lately

Agreed. If I were betting on it they'll make a solar quartz version and a semi limited edition mechanical as a reissue

I'd be fine with that, as long as they stayed true to the design
