Using smoke (grey) to tame the fire (red), figurative speaking..
So, I'm finally having a chance to really wear this new watch, the Second Hour Memoir with Red dial. Although the original matching red Italian leather strap is fine, I always felt it was maybe too much bright red. Ok to wear once in a while when I want something visually punchy like that. But, in general, I think the watch will look better paired with a variety of other straps which will look more complimentary and tone down the overall look of the watch. Yet, let the lovely red dial shine still. While I wait for a couple of new strap options to come in, I've been looking around my 20mm strap collection and seeing what can work in the meantime. So, I found a Fluco suede leather strap in grey which I think looks pretty good with the watch. One of my other goals with the Memoir was to not limit it to strict dress duty. I think wearing it with particular clothing and strap options will facilitate a casual dress down and make me want to grab it more often than just the far fewer dressier occasions. So far, I think it's working and achieving what I had in mind above.

Depending on AUD to USD conversion rate, it was about $350 after the pre-order discount.
I'm from Aus too 😆 So it was around $350 aud? So after preorders I'd imagine that it's a little over $400.
