The new Islander Mechanical Chronograph is...๐Ÿ”ฅ!

Good morning WC. I just watched Marc's video showing off his new mechanical chrono, and I am impressed. The watch uses the Seagull ST1901 mechanical movement popularized by the Seagull 1963. I absolutely love operating this movement. It's tactile, reliable and a joy to use.

The new Islander Bridgehampton Chronograph is using some modern design language, but has touches of vintage flair.

The dial is nice, but really doesn't do anything special here. But, I really like the brushed bezel. I love the fine coin-edge design. The font on the bezel is used on all numerals on this piece and I think it give off a vintage look, which I love. I think the rotating bezel adds to the functionality of this piece.

I think it's a winner.

As with Studio Underdog I think this is too much $$$ for a watch using the ST1901, especially considering the mixed reviews.

I like the white dial. @foghorn poses the right question on the movement. I own a Lorier that uses the Seagull but the owners of the brand were hyper focused on QC for the movement. Mark is the same and his customer service is top notch. Therefore I think the price is reasonable at least for a US brand.

Looks great! What's the size of it?

I really like it. I've been waiting for several months to get a Lorier Gemini and its retro look (I have a Falcon and Astra too). I own a Seagull 1963, and really like that mechanical chronograph ST1902 movement. Lorier is supposed to have a lottery for the last batch of the current Gemimi model in May (I was told they're having a new Gemini model come out sometime in the future). I've also been looking for a racing inspired chronograph. This watch seem to scratch both itches enough so I bought the white dial version immediately after I got the text from Long Island Watch that it was released. Should arrive next week.

Just came in this afternoon. The bracelet is great, but I love the strap and put it on right away.
