First off, let me say that I love the patina look. I wouldn't have bought two bronze watches if I didn't. But there is a difference with full bronze cases and ones that are Two-Toned.
For instance, this San Martin D12 homage looks right at home with this antique patina look...
I believe the San Martin looks best with the full dose of patina. In terms of my Nodus Sector Sport, the dull patina look is great, but not it's optimal form(IMO).
That said, I tried various traditional methods that were proven to remove the patina, and none of them worked. I tried vinegar, tomato sauce, lemon, baking soda, etc..
Upon further research I read that there was a method that uses a polishing cloth to remove the patina. I just so happen to have the brand used to do this, it's called "Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths"...
This method worked wonders. You can see the results yourself...
Ultimately, this is personal preference. I see this Nodus as a modern design. The gilt hands match so much better with the bright, polished bronze.
I know many of you will say this is blasphemous, but I think it looks gorgeous like this.
Mainly I wanted to share the method I found to remove the bronze patina. If all the traditional methods don't work, try Cape Cod. It worked for me.

I love my bronze watches looking shiny also !
Hi there! I bought a new to me Nodus Sector Sport bronze. When you tried the lemon juice method, did you have it sit in the lemon juice for awhile with no luck? This is helpful I will have to pick up some polishing cloths. Did you tape the watch up while you did this?

You do not have to tape up the watch. The polishing cloth is meant to un-tarnish the steel as well so, your all good there. It works wonders. And, congrats! It's a lovely timepiece.

I was thinking tape for the crystal just didn’t wanna mess up the crystal. Thanks!
