Here's my newest mod!

All and all I think it came out pretty good. A while back I bought a bunch of these fantastic Japanese style dials from a Etsy seller (@seikomods) and I've been shopping around here and there for the right parts to complete the builds. This is the newest addition.
When building this mod, I wanted to find a case that would compliment the 14k gold plated dial. I needed to find a case that accepted the Seiko NH35 movement, and I found this 36mm "Date Just" style case that I felt matched the vibe of this dial. I chose this NH35 movement with a gold date wheel and added Mercedes hands to match the circular hour markers.
*I'm thinking I may try to find some lume dots to add the hour markers. What do you think?
I love the embossed Seigaiha(wave) elements of the dial, with the lack of applied indices the textured wave pattern makes it a bit more dynamic.

The dial blew me away, looks amazing. I think it looks best on the bracelet, just seems right for the dial and case. Personally, I wouldn't attempt to lume it, to me it would cheapen the look. Sometimes understated speaks loudly. I have found myself getting into dials with more texture and visual interest. I like the freedom of expression that building provides.
