Orient divers or Seiko5

Under $200, your best bet would be to look at the Chinese homage/clomage offerings, like Pagani Design and such.

·

Seiko RX aka series 5 with integrated bracelet here is the Arabic dial variant.

Oftentimes under $150, sometimes even $100.

Is it good quality ?

For the price yes. Its powered by the Seiko NH35 which is a reliable enough movement. Seiko movements are what put China on the map in watches. It's going to have finish issues because of the price but then again you can't compare it to the PRX because it isn't Swiss and not even in the same price bracket.

Is it reliable and durable enough to last multiple years?

I would think so in that the Japanese built the movement and I have zero faith in any movement the Chinese make. The NH35 is the most popular movement in the modding community. For your budget and the fact you want integrated bracelet Aliexpress watches are your only option. A Swiss watch in your pricepoint would have to come from Jomashop.com. I got 6 watches there for good prices as they are gray market and get them wholesale from the factory. Seiko's there are a bargain but usually have the non-hacking non-handwinding movements.

Look at the Citizen Tsuyosa

https://www.citizenwatch.com/us/en/collection/mens-tsuyosa-automatics/?cq_src=google_ads&cq_cmp=16532008957&cq_term=citizen%20tsuyosa%20watch&cq_med=&cq_plac=&cq_net=g&cq_plt=gp&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvL-oBhCxARIsAHkOiu2hrb4HezpZkG20l_4DM92EDd0LINjcgajaVv6ktOAWKSutkcfsNkUaAqnWEALw_wcB

Probably find it on other sites cheaper than the Citizen site. Check around.

If you find these for <$200, please let me know. I'd love that yellow one! 😂

I agree with @OldSnafu and @NewbombTurk that a Pagani from AliX is your best bet. The NH35 is reliable and mostly accurate, they usually come with screw down crowns, sapphire crystals, and decent water resistance. But I wince a little when you ask if it's good quality and will last for years. I believe it will last for years and is great quality for the cost (under $100). But you get what you pay for. If you're expectations are a decent quality cheap watch you'll be okay. But if your expecting it to have the same tactile experience and build quality as a watch that cost 5x as much, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed in any watch you get.

Will it have similar quality to like a gshock?

No. A G Shock is a completely different animal. I can't speak from experience because I don't own one. But they are well known to be nearly indestructible. They're also quartz and digital, made with rubber and resins. You asked specifically for something automatic similar to a PRX which is stainless, with an integrated bracelet in the "Genta" style. It's apples to oranges. In that price range, a G-Shock is an excellent choice. But in stainless and automatic I think Pagani is your best bet. However, I'm sure you could find a suitable Seiko as well with a little digging.

What are you using it for?

Everyday wear as a beater that can handle some abuse at a physical job, or while doing some chores probably suits a GShock better

A watch to wear out with your buddies, on a date, at an office job, or with a suit leans more towards the Pagani.

Again, I don't want to speak out of turn, because I don't own one. But I feel like the G-Shock would be the best value for the money.

Roughly how much is a custom casiok?

I would suggest you don't pigeonhole yourself into a "PRX" style watch. There are bargains to be had at under $200. You just have to do the legwork to get them.

I bought the Bulova Marine Star I'm wearing today, pre-owned, for $60 on OfferUp.

Image

I got this Pagani Aqua Terra homage for about $100 on AliX

Image

This citizen was $80 on eBay.

This Seiko was $160 on sale at Amazon.

You can probably find a Quartz PRX for roughly $250 if you hunt for it.

My point would be that there are bargains for us budget shoppers. You just have to dig them out and be open minded.

Is alixpress reliable or is there a chance I might get scammed?

Does automatic really make a big difference or is a quarts one fine as a found a nice chronograph but it is quarts?

·

In the world of Asian watches the Japanese are kings and make the best movements there. The VK63 Seiko Mecaquartz chrono is better than any Chinese quartz. Citizen make good movements but rarely are they seen out of Citizen/ Bulova/Casio. The Ali watches are getting traction in the market only because of the Japanese QC in their Malasia factories. China is a huge supplier of watch parts but the other countries including the Swiss do the QC to make their own products good.
