Modding a NATO to get the floppy bit out of the way
I've noticed that NATO straps generally have the two keepers on the buckle side set way too far apart. With some Tamiya scissors I removed the stitch at one of the keepers so that it can slide closer to the other one. Now the floppy bit of strap is closer to the bottom of my wrist and more out of the way.

Good tip for people who prefer the single pass under the wrist. Personally, when I'm putting my watches on a NATO I want the traditional NATO look so I prefer the keepers apart.
It's all about the tuck, for me anyway....

The floating keeper changed natos for me. It locks the tail end down perfectly and cinches the strap tight. Tucking the strap under itself never worked for me.

Sadly my issue is my tiny wrist, so too long floppy ends of a band are my usual issue
