I've discovered that my watch loses several seconds in all orientations except dial down. And generally if I wear it, the watch does lose a few seconds a day. What if I store my watch dial down at night? Is this safe for the movement? Thanks!
What's the difference between dial up & dial down in time loss?
As the others said, up down, sideways shouldn't matter. There is a caveat though; if there is nothing loose in the movement. Which is why I ask about the time loss difference between positions.

Perfectly safe, no worries.
Fine for movement, just make sure to put it on something soft so you don't scratch the crystal.
