Which one would you get as a daily? It’s my first automatic watch

Hello everybody, first post here, I am kinda new to this world and I’d like to start my collection a watch that I would ideally wear everyday, I like the day and date complication because I lose track of the day of the week and it would be good to have a reminder of it, I can’t decide between titanium and bronze, they are both interesting materials but I’d like bronze the most because I like the idea of it creating a patina reflecting my lifestyle but then it hasn’t the day complication, just the date

Titanium would be better at that but I can’t decide between bracelet or not, they usually recommend getting it with the bracelet and then swapping it but they also say it’s kinda crap

Any suggestion?

I have the bronze one and it looks great. I've cut the second pass off the leather nato to help it to sit a little lower on my wrist. If you decide to go for the Ti option then get the bracelet. Its easier to and cheaper put a nato on later if you change your mind than to buy a bracelet from boderry.

My opinion: first daily watch out of the options there the titanium on the bracelet is an easy choice. Durable being titanium, perfect for daily use and the dial colour will be much more versatile. The bronze is very cool but will patina and change a lot and I think the patina stories being just using daily isn’t as fun or interesting and having worn it for specific situations/occasions - then there is cool stories behind the patina. Of course the dial colour is much less versatile also. The titanium on the bracelet with some aftermarket straps wins for me (for this question)

I would get it on the bracelet it comes on.

NATO's or any other straps are easier and cheaper to pair later on.

I have the titanium with the "vintage noir" dial on the NATO strap and I love it. I like the bracelet option as well, but I tend to have to trade out bracelets/leather straps to accommodate my wrists and I didn't want to have to go through the trouble- especially since I got the watch on sale and couldn't justify buying an aftermarket bracelet that might cost more than the watch!

I’d like to know what made you narrow it down to this brand as your first daily watch, since you mentioned you’re kinda new to this world.

They look great but there are many other options out there, kinda curious, thanks!

That bronze with the green face is awesome. I got the titanium with the vintage noir face and enjoy it.

I was thinking about getting a Seiko 5 but I could only find older models at higher prices than this then I saw a YouTube video reviewing this particular watch and I liked it immediately

First auto or first mechanical watch at all? If you are choosing an automatic for your first mechanical, then that is a smart choice .

I really like the look of the first one, but day-date is the best option for an everyday watch. As for the bracelet, if you like the endlinks, then you should get the bracelet. If you donâÂÂt care, then find a bracelet that you do like instead, and get the NATO strap option.

Would go for the titanium on bracelet.

I really love titanium for its proprieties, its look and feeling.

I think when you have the choice and it's in your budget, it's always better to go for the bracelet option (because of the endlinks are usually specific to a model and it cost more to buy it aftermarket than directly with the watch, even more with titanium). You maybe don't realize now but you will very soon have a lot of straps to pair with your watch when you want to play with it. You can have perfectly fine nato or rubber strap for 20€ more or less and OK leather straps for 30€. Bracelet at this price will mostly be pieces of cheap metal.
