As we close the year I wanted to show Pilot/flieger watches some love. Post your collection and share some pilot watches that you have on you bucket list.
These are some pilot watches I have on my bucket list:
Glycine Airman
Dan Henry 1945
Hemel
New Alpina Startimer
Vintage Alpina Heritage
This account is verified. WatchCrunch has confirmed that this account is the authentic presence for this person or brand.
I only have a couple that stroke a cord with me and seemed pretty cool.
The Ollech & Wajs P-104 S for all its good funk and orange accents
The Sinn 856 which has a great dial design and I could even learn to live with the stressed tanned fugazi lume
I favor the O&W for its originality and touch of orange, but both are pricy and I would rather indulge other watch pursuits.
I have exactly the same Glycine in my list for a milestone watch. And I think it is the only watch that can be called pilot on my horizon for the nearest future. Your collection is very cool. Which one of the pilots is your favourite?
Here are the pilot watches in my collection.
Islander #ISL-107 Pilot Watch
Accurist Skytimer
Hamilton Khaki Pilot Flight Timer
Seiko 5 SRPH33 (technically a pilot dial)
Citizen Nighthawk (my Nighty)
Bulova A15 Pilot
I am looking to add a Seiko Flight Timer to my collection in the future, but that is really the only one on my radar.
A couple of pilots watches I’d like to own.
Love the leaf hands on your Alpina’s!
Here’s a few of my flieger/pilot watches:
Alpina - Startimer

Sinn and Fortis are two brands I hope to have! Great Choices and now I'm looking into Ollech & Wajs first time I heard of them.

I forgot the Bulova A15😭. That's definitely on my list to buy. I never seen that Hamilton I love the collection 🎯
My three most worn watches are all Pilot / aviation themed…
Christopher Ward C8 MKII, 2009, 44mm
Breitling Avenger 43mm GMT, 2021
IWC Pilot 41mm Chrono, 2022
In a hobby where 90% of the focus is on dive watches, I find myself drawn much more to this kind of aesthetic. My next pickup would be the 417 ES from Hanhart but only when it comes back available in 39mm.
One day I’d love to add a medium Santos… the original pilots watch 😉❤️
Thanks for prompting, great collection 👍🏻

Love the cream dial and the old g. logo for CW. Personally I think Pilot watches have such a great history with war, space and aviation that I just love. Funny enough I really wanted the WW2 Seiko kamikaze (probably the ultimate grail) and going down the rabbit hole I ended up with Hanhart 417es that I just was blessed enough that I had to buy it. Great collection brother!
Hi there and great collection you got there of pilot watches.. As for me in my current collection are the ISL-54, Oris Propilot, Laco Augsburg (Olive dial) and Citizen Nighthawk all which I enjoyed wearing.
That Laco Olive dial is just on another level such a clean dial. Your collection is on point you got the German, Swiss, Japanese and the microbrand.
First, I want to say I love your Seiko SRPH33K1. Just beautiful.

Yeah glad you notice that regarding my collection. The Laco is splendid watch the clean dial as you mentioned and pvd bronze coating they use compliments it well.
How do you like the Gevril? Great collection!
The Gevril is a great watch and is right up there as one of my favourites across my entire collection.
Might be a bold statement but I think it’s on par with the Sinn for quality and it has the same movement.

I always see the brand with deep discounts I'm glad you letting me know. I will take a second look because I really like some of their watches.

Yup - the CW is a special piece. I’ve not seen another cream dial flieger with a pop of colour similar to that over the last 10 years.
The kamikaze is special indeed! Here’s hoping 🤞🏼

I really like this one :
Honestly, they’re really good watches, but their marketing/pricing strategy is a bit strange. At RRP they are certainly over priced but you can snag a really good deal on the grey market.
There’s a pretty interesting history behind them as well and they say there’s a Gevril pocket watch on display in the Rolex museum, so they definitely have some historical significance to them.
I have found a couple of GV2 models that claim to have Swiss movements that have a Chinese origin, but the pilot watches all have Selita or Valjoux movements.
I forgot the Bulova A15😭. That's definitely on my list to buy. I never seen that Hamilton I love the collection 🎯
Yeah, I love digital watches, so I had to get the Flight Timer as soon as I found out about it!

Same here. I love my 90s Casio digi chrono.
